Thanks for visiting my little acre in the sky.

I’m married to Mike and I have a 19 20  21 year old son, YJ, both of whom serve as my tasting panel.  Mike wears the hat of Editor for The Tasting Spoon and he’s also my biggest cheerleader, but don’t tell him that I said that.

I’ve been in and out of culinary school a couple of times now and I think I’ve finally realized that I don’t want to make chicken stock 40 gallons (!) at a time and my friends and family don’t really care if my small dice is exactly ¼ x ¼ x ¼.

Here you’ll find a collection of recipes that I’ve made hundreds of times and others that may have been one hit wonders.  You won’t find many recipes with obscure ingredients or needing kitchen tools that have only one purpose.  Some of my family favorites even include the very uncool Cream of Mushroom soup.
